cyber sex

this is my account, i sign in with my email address and password.

i see that you have signed in too, hi. jittering pixels on a cold, cold screen. the distracting sound of typing and the distortion of voice. c-c-c-can you hear me? there you go.

the technical issues do turn me off, but to see you put on different clothes for me, strike different poses for me, makes something deep inside me tremble in pleasure. i return the favor by performing the same for you. tell me, what do you want to see now?

this is all the fun and fantasy that the dangerous, dangerous real world cannot provide. lies, lies, all disguise.

xoxo

Identity

Identity is: Clark Kent vs Superman

A rather straight-forward piece exploring the notion of identity.

Being realistic for a while

Haven't done anything realistic for quite a while, other than those in foundation drawing lessons. I don't know whether it's just me or what, but realistic things are much too over-rated. Especially for Singaporeans. Maybe realistic images seem as if more effort was put in (which is actually quite true sometimes), but doing something abstract (and nice) is not as simple as it seems. Or maybe fully recognizable pictures makes people feel more like home. Nothing against realistic drawings, just think that they are too over-rated. But anyways, the thesis is: Tao Okamoto is so sexy!

∆An old old t-shirt business

Was quite pleasantly surprised to receive a request to purchase my hand-drawn t-shirts today morning. Started this more than a year ago and I almost forgot about it. Decided to shift it over here, so hello again! (And yea this is me and Eugene a year ago)

Custom-made ones available too. Email paynkpaynk@gmail.com for quotations and enquiries.

B&W at OIC portrait day

First time at OIC portrait day at MAAD. Was really fun and I am very surprised that 2 drawings were actually sold! Because compared to the rest who brought inks and colors to paint, my linearts are so so plain and humble... didn't take a picture of those two that were sold though, gone before I knew. But yay! Definitely go again, with my coloring gears!

Hahahahand made!

YES spent a couple of hours pushing cloth through the sewing machine the past few days (including Xmas) and Shiying and I churned out some humble bags and a wallet! Tried printing with wood cuts on the bags too. The highlight: this flour-bag bag made with incredibly tough waxed paper that's tear proof and water proof, and fashion-idiot proof! YAY

Of course we spent a tiny bit of time posing with our dear products against the wonderwall.

The wood-cut printed bags!

And this is pretty fantastic too. A seriously Singaporean wallet made of plastic bags!

Loving the holidays

Other than packing my room (my table is royally tidy now), I can't believe I started documenting my works and arranging my files properly too. Then I found this.

SEPT FEST 09, 'Let's Talk' children. It's way way way past September, I know. Then I just remembered that my old computer crashed and I lost the original image file for this, and I frantically went to my sent mails and very very fortunately, I retrieved them back. I somehow miss working my ass off for this, I'm crazy. Anyway, thank you Substation and Annabelle and Emily :)

∆TRIANGLES AND CIRCLES EVERYWHERE∆

Oh

I just heard rumbling sound coming from faraway and I thought it was the thunder. I looked out of the window and saw spotlights in the clouds. And suddenly, explosions of fireworks boomed from behind two horribly tall flats. Tried to take a few pictures, figured that I would do better with a more complex camera provided that I know how to use it. It was pretty, but I just wonder what the hell is there to celebrate on 2 December 2009, a boring boring Wednesday night when I am feeling so alone and waiting for somebody to call me.

∆Portraits for Christmas

Ding dong, Christmas is coming soon!
I will be taking orders to paint portraits at a very very special price and $10 will go to the Soup Kitchen project with the sale of each portrait. The Soup Kitchen project is an awesome initiative by Food #03, which feeds the poor every Monday!

$20 - A5
Full color on textured off-white paper
Mailing fees to be advised accordingly.

Here is a sample I did of a friend.
So the description should be something like: Chubby, geeky glasses, lop-sided bowl haircut, loves rainbow, loves to wear suspenders.

How?
1. Choose 1-3 full body photo(s) of the person you want me to paint. (up to 3 people per piece)
Alternatively you can describe his/her appearance. The more detailed the better.
2. Tell me a little more about the person. E.g cat lover, geek, party animal, musician... anything
3. (optional) Include some things that I must not include. E.g hates pink and hates elephants. So that I won't draw him/her walking a pink elephant.
4. Send the above, and other stuff that you may wanna tell me, to jellydemonstrate@hotmail.com

All enquiries to paynkpaynk@gmail.com too.

Make a difference while enjoying your christmas!

∆I used to...

Good mid-night,

I made 40 confession cards, every card comes with a different abstract shape and one confession beginning with "I used to... ...". With 1 colored shape card and 1 blank card (refer to image). No re-prints, one off. I'm not too sure what you could do with them though... probably just look at them and remember a part of your past that you forgot, or not.

Mailing fees to be advised according. Email me: paynkpaynk@gmail.com

$40 for the full set of 42 cards in a nice box.
High-quality print on textured off-white art paper. I swear the real thing is prettier.
